This weeks artist is Carrie Underwood. I remember the first time I saw her sing, on her audition on American Idol.
I remeber thinking that she was the one I was rooting for that season! And she won, so that was fun! And after that I have bought her music, listened to her songs and singing along to them from,
This weeks Artist is James Morrison. I think I got into his music when I first heard Broken Strings with Nelly Furtado.
I have just loved that song so many years now, and I always sing along to it! It was actually the first song Christina and I sang at the Karaoke bar in Ayian Napa a last summer, so it's a lot of memories attached to that song. And when his Cd came out last year, I just couldn't stop listening to I Won't Let Go.
I love the tenderness in his voice, and the feelings his songs give you when you're listening to it.
This weeks artist is a great singer called Winta. She is norwegian, and the first time I saw her live was when she warmed up the crowd before Shontelle in February 2011. I had no idea who she was when I went there for the Shontelle concert,
But after the show I couldn't wait for her Cd. And today you can WIN IT! Just by guessing which of the songs on her CD is my two favorite?
The winner will win Winta's CD!!! :-) So have fun!
This Weeks Artist is Jessie J. This is a Woman who can really sing! I remember the first video I saw of her singing on YouTube. And it was Who you are live from a subway station in New York, this one..
I really love this song to! And a while after that, Price tag came with B.O.B and she started to be played on the radio and people knew who she was/ is.
I have liked Do It Like A Dude, its just something about the melody of the song.
Her voice is just great, and I can't wait to hear more!
This artist is LidoLido. A boy/ man that is pretty much known as Norway's answer to Justin Bieber. His real name is Peder LosnegÄrd and is 19 years old from a small town in Norway. This guy is known for his GG4L which stand for "Good Guys For Life", his collaboration with StarGate, his great voice, and so much more!
If you have the opportunity in Norway to see him live, do it! I have three times in concert. The last time was last wednesday and I ended up talking a bit with him, taking a picture, bought a story- chocolate, gave it to him and talked some more.
-" He is so nice, so down to earth and funny! "
I cant wait to see how big of a star he is in a couple of years! Because he has so much talent!
One of the songs that Jane and I listened to a lot this summer was Turn up the lights,
- a catchy good feeling- want-to-get-up-and-dance-song!
- "Keep up with him on twitter and his blog" ! :-)
An up and coming artist, Derek L. Butler. He is a singer songwriter from Los Angeles, Ca.
I found him one day in the end of June, when I was watching different music covers and videos on YouTube. The first video I saw of him was this one
Derek covering Michael Buble - You know how I feel.
I like the song and I thought that he sang it greate!
So I went further down His YouTube Page and listened to a coupe of his other cover and they are really good!
"I love the feeling i get when I hear someone that can really, really sing."
A couple of days later I followed him on twitter, and he followed me back :-)
The fun part of it all is that it turned out that he actually was one of the background singers on Justin Bieber's promo tour, and was in Oslo!
And he made this "Thank you Norway song",
And while I was in Cyprus, he posted on Twitter that the first person that sent him the lyric to the song to his fan-mail would get a "shootout" so I sat in the couch in Pafos next to Jane, she didn't understand what I was doing when I listened to the song twice, wrote the lyrics down and sang it. And then sent it, I didn't even listen to it once!
Then a couple of days later he wrote this on twitter to me,
"Oh how I laugh! "
His twitter name is @dereklbutler so follow him if you like his stuff , like I do :-)
I think it was later that day when Derek and his friend Dubri was on Ustreem and shared a pice of their new single together, a type of cover of Payphone by Maroon 5 with Wiz Khalifa.
I think that version is so good! "Haha, love that song!"
One of the things that is so cool about him is that he is on his way up and he is so down to earth. And he has this project called #DreamCatchers where he wants to help people and their dreams, its great! I have talked with him a bit now and he is so nice, it's going to be so much fun to hang out when he comes to Oslo next spring!
